Key members of one of the best bands of the 1960s are reuniting to celebrate their double Jubilee. You will be able to see singers Paul Jones and Mike D’Abo plus the group's original guitarist Tom McGuinness play all the great hits such as Pretty Flamingo.
In January 1964 Manfred Mann were asked to compose the theme tune for the ITV pop show "Ready Steady Go" and they came up with "54321" which reached number 5 in the UK charts. "Doo Wah Diddy" was an even bigger hit, it knocked "Hard Days Night" off the Number one spot and sold over 650,000 copies in Britain alone. After conquering America in '65 The Mandreds became the first band to tour the Soviet Union. Many of their most loved hits such as "With God On Our Side", "If You've Gotta Go, Go Now" and "Quinn The Eskimo" were Bob Dylan. After attending a Manfreds concert Bob Dylan describes the group as "really groovy" and let it be known he approved of all their cover versions.
In the late 60s Paul Jones left the band to becomea star of stage and screen for 10 years he appeared in everything from Hair to Cats to The Beggar's Opera but eventually he returned to his R&B roots. With so many great songs in the Manfred Mann repertoire a great night out is guarenteed.
